National Smile Month – What’s the first thing you notice about a person? Their smile is a common answer!  So take part in the largest yearly oral event in the world to keep yours looking great!

The British Dental Health Foundation (BDHF) wants to raise awareness during the month to the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth!

Research has shown that on average people brush their teeth for 45 seconds.  Hardly enough to give your teeth the thorough cleaning they need!

So take up the ‘Two minute, twice a day’ challenge to keep those pearly whites plaque-free.

People can easily get gum disease from a variety of factors, so make sure you’re leading a healthy lifestyle and if you’re a smoker- stamp out the tobacco!

Your mouth will thank you for it.  And so will the BDHF if you decide to get involved!

Either by looking after you and your family’s routine or by setting up an event.  You could host a themed fun day or set up a display.

If you’re a dentist, it would be a brilliant idea to set up open sessions or hold a competition that means a free consultation!

All the info you’ll need to take part in the 43rd annual event is available from the National Smile Month website.
