Fishing for adventure? Why not try National Fishing Month 22 July – 29 August 2016

National Fishing Month
National Fishing Month

National Fishing Month is the month for you if you are angling to get your welly boots and fishing rods out this summer – a month-long fishing extravaganza from 22 July to 29 August 2016.   Whether you enjoy a spot of carp fishing or, like me, you’ve never tried fishing before, there really is something for everyone.

This celebration of all things angling started as National Fishing Week in 2009 and was so popular that is has grown to a whole month of fishing opportunities.

Supported by groups including the Angling Trades Association and The Angling Times, the aim is to encourage everyone, from grandads to kids, to dip their toes in the water and give fishing a go.   You can also learn about the economical and environmental benefits of angling.

Events will be held all over the UK and all us first-time fishermen and women can enjoy free one-on-one tuition with qualified coaches.

For more information visit the National Fishing Month website where you can fish around and find local events near you.   If you’re an angler looking to organise an event, there’s information on that too.

There really is no excuse not to enjoy some local fishing near you this summer!
