Donkey Week will take place from 3-10 May 2016.
This is your chance to get up close and personal with these fantastic four-legged creatures and learn much more about them!
The event is organised each year by the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. There are a whole host of things to do, including daily trips to outlying farms not usually open to the public, tractor trailer rides to see the astounding Devonshire views, enjoy wonderful walks to get you energised and of course, you can meet the donkeys!
The sanctuary was first registered as a charity in 1973 when the founder, Dr Elizabeth Svendsen, saw seven poor donkeys crammed in a pen. She rescued them, and since then her donkey family has grown and grown right up to today.
With offices throughout the UK the Sanctuary helps all kinds of neglected donkeys, and the awareness week is a great time to learn more about these great animals, relax and have a fun time!
