The aim of Breathe Easy Week is to raise awareness of lung health, promote the British Lung Foundation (BLF) and get you and members of your community to try out a lung function test!
You may not know it, but 1 in 7 people in the UK are affected by lung disease.
The theme of the week this year is ‘breathlessness’ and the purpose of the week is to help make you aware of what can affect your lungs and cause problems.
Passive smoking is a big cause of lung disease and the BLF have already collected a petition of signatures to call for smoking in cars carrying children to be banned. By getting involved you can join groups and help with causes like these – just one signature can make a big difference to the campaign.
Throughout the week Breathe Easy groups will also be holding talks, coffee mornings, quiz nights and many more great events!
To get involved and find out what’s happening near you can visit the Breathe Easy Week website and find out how you can help the children of tomorrow get a breath of fresh air.
